Pair of cherubs restoration - Finished

About the piece

One of our clients bought a pair of cherubs in need of restoration.
A first restoration had been made but without respecting rules of the art.
Our client asked us to redo the restoration.
The items are now parts of permanent collection of our client visible in Paris:
"Marche a Suivre" Gallery.

What we did on this piece

The two statues were in a very bad state.
We found many screws, and materials not adapted for a good restoration.
The wood was worm damaged.
We had to, first, treat the wood with appropiate products, and then restore all the parts of the two cherubs.
The arms were broken.
We had to make a graft to validate the motion and proportions to apply.
